Support Worker/Care Worker - LITHERLAND

About the role

Wage: £12.50 Per Hour

Hours: 10 hours per week,  1 or 2 Saturdays a month.

To care and support a 9-year-old boy who has a
range of different needs.

He has a mix of oral feeding and PEG feeding.

He has spastic paraplegia and uses a wheelchair
but can walk short distances holding hands.
He is doubly incontinent and wearing pads.

He has learning disabilities and requires help in
all aspects of self-care and safety, he is also autistic,

He enjoys animals but is particularly obsessed
with geese! a willingness to be out and about exploring the community and
local green spaces and farms in all weather is crucial for this role.

He enjoys walks down the canal to explore.

Main Responsibilities
 
To help with feeding, changing and all things
self-care and safety, extra safety, and caution when out in the
community/park/canal/farm.

Minimum Qualifications
 
N/A  Role is subject to an initial meeting to discuss the role; DBS is mandatory for this position.

Experience and Skills required.

This person should be caring, reliable and
trustworthy.

Experience of PEG feeding is desired but not
essential.

Experience with working with children/adults with
additional needs is desired but not essential.
