Carer/Support Worker for Young Person - Waterloo

£12.50 p/h

To be used of an evening or at the weekend
(times and days to be mutually agreed.

Job Purpose

To provide 1:1 support to a 5-year-old little girl
diagnosed with a rare genetic condition in the
Waterloo area of Sefton.

I am a very smiley, happy sociable little girl with a
fun personality and a great imagination.

I love lots of
interaction and playing with my toys especially doing
role play.

I am looking for a friendly, caring, and confident
person willing to get to know me and understand my
needs whilst having lots of fun interaction.

I require someone to support with all aspects of my
personal care and to assist with my PEG feed and be
someone who preferably has experience or is happy
to learn how to use and set up my overnight gastro
feeding equipment.

This role is to provide respite for my parent which
will involve supporting in the home environment and
as trust builds potentially out in the local
community.

Duties (day to day)

• Support child at home & out in the
Community when trust has been built.

• To encourage interaction and play

• Support with all aspects of personal care.

• Assistance with water and blended diet via
PEG.

• To administer medication

Essential skills

• You must be friendly, empathetic, and
enthusiastic about caring for others.

• Ideally have experience of supporting
children/young people with additional needs.

• Experience and skills of formal/informal care
work.

• Willingness to build up and develop positive
relationships.

• Be patient, kind and trustworthy.

• Have good communication skills and the
ability to be punctual and reliable.

employment commences; this cost will be met by
the employer*
