Sefton Caring Business Charter

Can you help support a young person achieve their career goals?

What is the Sefton Caring Business Charter

We are currently managing the Sefton Caring Business Charter, the goal is to help young people transition from education to employment by providing a structured pathway for learning and work.

This will enable them to develop skills and knowledge for the workplace , empowering them to make informed decisions about their future.

We continue to work with all of our local employers who have already pledged their support to provide:

Taster Days

This will be a way to experience what its like to work within a specific work setting, usually lasting between one and two days and includes shadowing staff, “having a go” and learning about the business.

Work Experience

Offering young people a real flavour of the working environment that they are choosing to explore, these opportunities vary in content and duration.

Mentoring Support

This offer of support can be face to face or remotely via Teams/Zoom to support small groups of people or individuals with motivation, confidence and aspirations.

Mock Interviews

Support is offered to young people in job search activities and mock interviews to boost confidence, conducted in real-life settings and provide feedback to enhance skills.
